Why a fanlisting for Enzai?
Jesus! I love this game. I really, really do. Enzai was the very first visual novel game I played, and I have to admit, my expectations were pretty low. But, damn, it just blew me away. It is so dark and twisted and unapologetically perverted, but the storyline and characters have so much depth, and it's just so compelling to me. Now, the OVA? Okay, well, I’ll admit that I saw the OVA before I played the game, and since playing the game, my opinion of the anime has shifted drastically. It’s really not a great adaptation, but I am still grateful for it, especially the extra attention they gave to Guildias. :3 Le sigh~~ This series is just amazing! That’s all I can say! If you haven’t played the game and have only seen the OVA, stop what you are doing and BUY IT! Srsly, it’s worth the price, and I almost guarantee you will not regret it! GO BUY!

Why the title, Verzweifelung?
Verzweifelung literally means “despair” in German, but yes, it is a title to one of the music tracks of the game. It is also my favorite track, even though it is utterly depressing as it is the theme for all three bad endings. Nonetheless, I love it, and I really feel like both the title and the track itself define the game perfectly. Even though Enzai takes place in France, the setting often reminds me of Germany, and I suppose it does not help that, yeah, the music tracks are in German and the imagery just screams German history, too. Plus, dude, Durer has always reminded me of a nazi. o.O
